FBCCI, US hold talks on boosting bilateral trade and cooperation.
Published At: August 20, 2025US Commercial Counselor in Dhaka, Paul G. Frost, met with FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman yesterday (August 19) at the FBCCI office in Motijheel, Dhaka.
During the meeting, they discussed the development of bilateral trade relations, market expansion and further strengthening of mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and the US.
At the beginning of the discussion, FBCCI Administrator Hafizur Rahman highlighted the long-standing trade relations between Bangladesh and the US.
Referring to the US as one of the largest markets for Bangladesh's exports, especially ready-made garments, he said that now is the right time to conclude a trade agreement between the two countries to utilize the trade potential and supply chain advantages.
He thanked the US government for reducing tariffs on Bangladeshi products.
During this time, US Commercial Counselor (Department of Commerce) Paul G. Frost emphasized increasing mutual relations and networking between businessmen of the United States and Bangladesh.
He called on Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and businessmen to participate in the Investment Summit to be held in the United States.
Paul G. Frost also emphasized strengthening bilateral trade relations as well as developing mutual cooperation between the two countries.
Md. Alamgir, FBCCI Secretary General; Md. Zafar Iqbal, Head of FBCCI International Affairs Wings and Brig. Gen. (Retd.) Abu Naeem Md. Shahidullah, Head of FBCCI Safety Council were present at the meeting.
