Bangladesh strengthens green leadership with four new LEED-certified factories.

Bangladesh has further cemented its global leadership in green manufacturing within the ready-made garment (RMG) sector, adding four new LEED-certified factories to its roster. The latest certifications include three Platinum-rated and one Gold-rated facility, underscoring the industry’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmentally responsible production.

With these additions, Bangladesh now boasts 248 LEED-certified RMG factories, including 105 Platinum and 129 Gold-rated facilities. This achievement makes Bangladesh home to 9 of the world’s top 10 highest-rated LEED-certified factories and 68 of the top 100, highlighting its unmatched capacity for sustainable garment manufacturing.

The continued expansion of LEED-certified factories not only strengthens Bangladesh’s competitive edge in the global apparel market but also demonstrates the sector’s dedication to meeting international sustainability standards and advancing a greener, more responsible future for the industry.
