First-Ever DTA Expo 2025 Inaugurated

The first-ever Dhaka International Textile & Apparel Expo (DTA Expo 2025) was officially inaugurated on October 9th,2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC), Agargaon, Dhaka.The grand opening ceremony brought together prominent industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and international guests from India, China, and Bangladesh, reflecting the event’s growing regional significance.
Mohammad Hatem, President of BKMEA, attended the event as the Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the exhibition. In his speech, he emphasized that such large-scale sourcing events can play a key role in reducing production costs and improving efficiency for local manufacturers.
“DTA Expo serves as a comprehensive platform for showcasing fiber, yarn, fabrics, trims, accessories, and dyestuffs. These types of sourcing opportunities not only strengthen supplier-buyer connections but also help manufacturers minimize costs,” he said.
He further urged local producers to remain cautious of unethical practices by certain foreign buying houses and commended the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for its recent initiatives to streamline business operations.

Speakers at the event commended Eco Expo for taking this bold initiative, describing DTA Expo 2025 as a forward-looking step toward transforming Bangladesh into a more connected, competitive, and cost-efficient sourcing hub.
